Synopsis
:
This paper describes and compares the performance of
Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy, Takagi-Sugeno (TS) type Fuzzy Logic and the conventional
Proportional Intergral (PI) controllers applied to three-phase Shunt Active
Filter (ShAPF) for Power Quality improvement and reactive power compensation
required by non-linear loads. The Simulation results show that the Adaptive
Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) proves to be better than the Fuzzy and PI
controllers as it combines the best features of Neural Networks and Fuzzy
Systems.
